130 American Paratroopers Landed Near Lvov (Ukraine)
Military personnel from the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army, who arrived to replace the 278th Armoured Cavalry Regiment, will carry out the training of the Ukrainian military according to NATO standards within the next 9 months.
For this purpose more than 130 servicemen have already arrived in Ukraine. They will begin work on “The joint multinational group on preparation – Ukraine” (JMTG-U), reported the press service of the Ministry of Defence.
To replace the serviceman from the 278th Armoured Cavalry Regiment regiment of the US National Guard from the State of Tennessee, which have been in the Lvov region since the summer of 2018, more than 130 soldiers of the 2nd brigade tactical strike group of the 101st Airborne (landing and assault) Division of the US Army arrived in Ukraine. The rotation term on the territory of Ukraine for the American military will be 9 months.
The Ministry of Defence noted that American guardsmen from the State of Tennessee coped well with tasks aimed at preparing Ukrainian divisions.
Also, the Ministry of Defence reminded that the activity of the mission started in 2015.
It should be kept in mind that this news does not mean that some world war is going to break out or that American troops will plan to attack Donbass in the hope of capturing it. On the contrary – this manoeuvre has more of a PR character and, if anything, is designed to let the US Army flex its “huge” muscles for the cameras, since that’s the only thing Washington can really do in the international arena nowadays.
