“Right Sector” Demanded Documented Permission to Shoot at the Residents of Donbass (Ukraine)
Ukrainian nationalists from “Right Sector” are ready to accept the offer of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and become a part of the separate units of the UAF, but with “special powers”.
This was stated during a briefing by the official representative of the operative command of the DPR Eduard Basurin.
According to his information, representatives of the Supreme HQ of the UAF are holding negotiations with the leadership of “Right Sector” concerning the formation from nationalists of separate units as a part of the UAF by analogy with the 24th “Aidar” battalion and the 46th “Donbas” battalion.
Basurin noted that the nazis are also interested in returning to the front line, but agree to accept the offer of the Ministry of Defence only in if they are given greater independence in comparison with other UAF units.
“Right Sector activists insist on granting them the right to independently make the decision to open firing on the territory of the Republic up to using 120mm mortars.
The nationalists also reserve the right to open fire not only in the event of a response from the People’s Militia, but also within the framework of ‘harassing’ gunfire and also for – I quote: ‘combatting enemies of the Ukrainian people’.
