Ukrainian forces attempt to break through DPR defences on south axis, losses reported

Donetsk, Jan 31 – DAN. Ukrainian forces attempted to break through DPR defence lines in Kominternovo village area on south axis, DPR Operations Command said.

“Taking advantage of the situation in Avdeyevka industrial area, an enemy force of up to two platoons from 36th separate marines brigade, Praviy Sector (Right Sector, a far-right Ukrainian nationalist political and paramilitary group of neofascist ideology) gunmen and three infantry fighting vehicles made a breakthrough attempt in Kominternovo area on Mariupol axis,” a DPR Operations Command officer said.

According to DPR Operations Command, Kiev gunmen lost about 14 killed and dozens wounded. DPR militia rebuffed the attack forcing the enemy to retreat to initial positions. *jk
