On May 26, Tuesday, North India and South Pakistan were reportedly the hottest regions in the world. The intensity of the heat is increasing as Delhi recorded the hottest day in May in 18 years, reported Times of India . The city recorded a maximum temperature of 47.6 degrees Celsius in the Palam area. As heatwaves intensified in the national capital, the Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum of 46 degrees Celsius in the city.
