Neo-Nazis, anti-Semites and white racists from the infamous regiment “Azov” of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine, gathered from all over Ukraine, held a march with stylised swastikas in the streets of “liberated” Mariupol. During the march that went on along the Lenin Avenue, the main street of Mariupol, there sounded the slogans like “One race and one nation”, “Death to enemies”, “Glory to the nation” and other chants traditional for Ukrainian storm-troopers.
The march “Advancing on you!” which was held by the civil corps “Azov” and soldiers of the regiment “Azov” ended at the Square of Freedom where there was inaugurated the monument to Svyatoslav the Brave. Andrey Beletsky, the leader of the movement “Azov”, made a speech before the activists. He reminded residents of Mariupol that the “Azov” continued to defend the front-line town from the Russian occupants, reports The Politnavigator.
On the page of the “Azov” in the social network “VKontakte” it was reported that the monument to Prince Svyatoslav in the center of Mariupol had been installed in the place where used to stand the statue of Lenin demolished by the neo-Nazis.
The radicals of the “Azov” carried flags of the regiment and torches, they lit flares, chanted “Glory to Ukraine” and other Nazi slogans. After that, on the square there was a concert of visiting far-right rock bands.
The neo-Nazis also reported that the march with swastikas and the installation of the monument to Svyatoslav the Brave in Mariupol was ‘a proof that this town is Ukrainian’.
‘The titanic figure of the prince-warrior has been inspiring dozens of generations with his uncompromising courage and bravery. The foreign policy during his rule was aggressive - the enemies feared and, at the same time, respected then Ukraine,’ said the post of the “Azov”.
Andrey Manchuk, a well-known Ukrainian journalist, commented on the event on his page in the social network.
‘It immediately reminded me of the “left” liberals from Russia and Ukraine, watching the destruction of left monuments and babbling about the ‘struggle against idols’ - not only in their blogs but even on-air. In fact, they helped to replace Lenin with post-Soviet anti-Semites’ idol that ‘started a campaign against the Khazar which lasted until the XXth century’. That is, until Auschwitz, if someone does not understand what kind of Khazar it is about. And yes, in this video it is not extras for the film The Wall, it is employees of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs’, he wrote.
